PICK -ME- UP

Are you looking to grow as a dancer but feel like you’re stuck in one style? The Pick -Me- Up course is the perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself with new dance styles to breath some fersh air. This is an intensive course for intermediate and advanced dancers who want to broaden their skills by exploring two new styles in addition to the one they already specialize in and gain tools which will help you with choreography PickUp, because this topic is determined not only by dance skills.

As a dancer, that worked in almost every dance style in my over 25 year dance journey I didn’t have much trouble memorizing large amounts of choreography during trainings or regular classes. The problem arose with big jobs, on selects, or the overwhelming number of gigs that often piled up on top of each other. It turned out that my memory (or so I thought at the time) wasn’t as foolproof as I believed. It took me a lot of time and personal experience to figure out what I was facing and how to deal with:

pressure
new environments
choreographies that were sometimes far outside my comfort zone
handling large amounts of material at once
musicality niuances
new type of movement,
personal blockages/ limiting beliefs

But you don’t have to spend years figuring this out because I’ll share all of this with you during our Pick Me Up sessions.

FOR WHOM IS THIS OPTION?

Pick Me Up is designed for intermediate and advanced dancers (with minimum of 3year regular dance training) who are already specialists in one dance style but want to expand their skills to other techniques. If you're eager to broaden your dance repertoire and perspective on choreography pick up, to make it less stressful, learn choreography in various styles, and at the same time, unlock your creativity and ability to work in a group – this course is for you!

WHAT CAN IT HELP YOU WITH?

I can help you in areas such as:

Working under time pressure – you’ll learn how to quickly absorb choreography and adapt to changing conditions.
Personal growth – the course will help you break through internal blocks and limiting beliefs that may be holding back your dance potential.
Performing in front of the camera – you’ll gain experience in professional video work, which is crucial for live performances, music videos, and auditions. Gain tools to make your performance authentic and unique.

HOW WILL WE WORK TOGETHER?

Where we focus on choreography pick up in our 3 dance styles, performance excercises and cooperation skills.
Training 4: March 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Location WSK Studio Poznań
Where we meet for our practical task, which is the final video project. This project will summarize your gained knowledge and be the ultimate cooperation and pick up challange for you. Ready for this adventure?
